History
The original polder mill, from the Weddermarke Water Board at the time, was built in 1875. This mill burned down in 1898 and was replaced by the present mill. The mill has not been operational as a polder mill for a long time, but it underwent extensive restoration in 1987. The sails have since been able to turn again and the auger can still pump water, demonstrating its former operation. The mill is owned by the current Hunze and Aa's Water Board and has two millers: Marijn Sijbom and Abel Middel.
