Frequently Asked Questions
Combination house rules and frequently asked questions: good to read in advance!
Do I need to buy a day ticket to visit the restaurant?
No, you do not need to buy a day ticket to visit the restaurant; you are always welcome. If you want to swim in the pool or play in the indoor playground, you do need to buy a day ticket online.
I only want to play in the indoor play paradise; do I get a discount on a day ticket?
No, a day ticket is a general admission ticket for our grounds including facilities. We do not sell separate day tickets for only the swimming facilities or only for the indoor play paradise.
As a parent I am not going swimming, can I onlybuyday tickets for my children?
No, this is not possible. A day ticket counts as a general entrance ticket to our premises including facilities. There is no standard supervision in the facilities; children of any age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. However, there is an alternative day ticket for sale at a reduced rate for parents who come along solely as supervisors and will not be using the facilities.
Why can't I buy a day ticket during the summer vacations?
Wedderbergen Playground is part of Camping Wedderbergen; during vacation periods the facilities reach their maximum capacity due to the large number of tourists present.
Can I buy day tickets on the spot?
During busy weekends and sunny days, we like to know in advance how many guests we can expect in terms of staff and purchasing. Everyone who wants to swim or play in the indoor play paradise must therefore purchase an online day ticket prior to their visit.
How long is my day ticket valid?
Day tickets are purchased by date and are valid once from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Why is there no standard supervision in the pool?
There is no standard supervision; nor are we required to. During busy periods, we try to use as many supervisors as possible to support the house rules.
We expect parents/guests to feel responsible for their children at all times and to respect and accept the pool rules.
Is the water playground always open?
The water playground is open from 18 degrees. If there are approaching thunderstorms or other threatening weather conditions, the water playground closes immediately for safety reasons.
May I bring my own food and drink to Playground Wedderbergen?
No, this is not permitted; we have a new restaurant with a fine menu. From small snacks to ice cream and from sandwiches to fries; there is something for everyone!
Can I pay in cash in the catering?
No, payments can only be made by PIN or Ideal. This is a deliberate choice for the safety of our employees.
The parking lot is full, where should I park now?
There is limited parking at the entrance; nearest public parking lot is a 5-minute walk away. Navigate to the Albert Wubsweg (grass strip along the road).
