Arrival and departure

What time can check in?

Camping from 14.00, camping with private sanitary facilities from 15.00 and chalets also from 15.00. We urgently request that you do not arrive earlier on arrival and departure days due to the busy traffic and mowing of the grass. 

It is also not possible to use the facilities earlier or longer on busy arrival and departure days.

Please note! Guests arriving earlier than the stated arrival time may be refused entry by the traffic controller for reasons of traffic safety. 

Until what time can I check in on the day of arrival?

The reception is open daily until 6 p.m. and until 8 p.m. during school vacations.

Are you arriving after 6 p.m.? Then give us a call!

Until what time can I check out?

Camping: departure before 11.00. Departure outside reception opening hours is possible, please leave a message by e-mail. Please note! Guests with a camping pitch incl. private sanitary facilities cannot use a contactless check-out because of the key; this must be handed in within opening hours of the reception.

Chalets: departure before 10.00. Between 09.00 and 10.00 the key must be handed in at reception. 

Can I take advantage of a late check out?

During the May vacations, Ascension and Pentecost, a free late check out is available based on availability for both camping and chalets. Based on availability, it is also possible for campers to use a late check out during the summer vacations for a fee.

Facilities

Is there free WIFI at the campground?

Yes, there is free wifi throughout the campground. Notice. This is "camping wifi"; no rights can be derived from speed or range.

Is the indoor pool heated?

Yes, the pool is heated, the paddling pool is +/- 30 degrees and the big pool is +/- 28 degrees.

Is the water playground heated?

The outdoor pool for toddlers and the water playground incl. fountains are also slightly heated; +/- 22 degrees. However, this water will be experienced as cool.

Is there supervision in the Indoor Playground?

No, there is no standard supervision available and we are not obliged to do so. However, there is camera surveillance in the building. During holiday periods, we try to deploy supervisors to support and monitor the regulations. 

To avoid accidents, surprises and/or disappointment, please read the regulations carefully before entering the playground.

Why can I only order at the restaurant via an order kiosk?

In our restaurant, you can only pay by PIN, and that is a conscious choice.

We move with the times and use handy order kiosks, take-out screens and buzzers. Everything is aimed at letting you order, pay and enjoy quickly and easily.

We also want to make it as pleasant and safe as possible for our staff. No cash after working hours, just go home safe and sound - that's nice for everyone.

Is it possible to rent bikes at the campsite?

Yes this is possible, via a handy app, guests can hire both gear bikes and electric bikes at Wedderbergen. 

Can I do my laundry at the campsite?

Yes all guests can use the washing machines and tumble dryers. We have a launderette behind reception (contactless payment), in the sanitary building on Naturally Wedderbergen (contactless payment) but also washing machines/dryers in the sanitary building on the other camping fields (coins).  

Do you sell fishing licenses?

Yes, at the reception you can buy both a day pass and a week pass. In the camping super next to the reception you can also buy fishing equipment, hooks and bait. Handy!

Day tickets

Do you sell day tickets for the pool and/or other facilities?

Yes, day tickets can be bought online. A day ticket gives you one-time access to our grounds including indoor pool, the water playground, indoor play hall, sand playground and sports and play areas. The restaurant is free to visit without a day ticket (consumption required).

Other questions

Do you rent out pre-season sites and/or monthly packages?

Yes, as of 2026, we will be renting out a number of seasonal pitches on the Buizerd, Ekster and Groenling fields. We also offer September and late summer packages.

Why can lodging rates change in the interim?

Camping Wedderbergen works with daily rates based on supply and demand. For this reason, early booking is often the most advantageous (tip!).

What are your payment terms?

After booking, we expect a 50% deposit within 14 days. The remaining 50% of the total amount should be in our account at least 6 weeks before arrival. 

Do you rent pitches with private sanitary facilities?

Yes, we recently started renting out pitches incl. luxury private sanitary facilities. 

Are dogs allowed in the campground?

Pets are welcome on pitches 37 to 125 (max 1 pet per pitch), the chalets and camping area of Naturally Wedderbergen are pet-free. Free dog poop bags are available at reception and there are depodog bins throughout the site. 

Facilities such as the swimming pool, water playground, swimming pond, indoor arcade, outdoor playgrounds and sports fields are pet-free zones.

Where can I park my car?

Cars must be parked on the pitch itself or in the parking lot next to the rental accommodation. Max 1 car per pitch / reservation, any 2nd car must be parked outside the campsite in public parking lots.

Can I also come camping with our camper?

With a surface area of 120-150 m2, our pitches are also suitable for motor homes; pitches are not paved. Because of their length and weight, caravans over 8 metres long and (semi) integral campers must be placed on a generous pitch.

The camping pitches at Naturally Wedderbergen are only suitable for tents, folding trailers, caravans under 8 metres and small camper vans.  

Are electric scooters allowed?

Electric scooters are prohibited on our property for safety reasons: see house rules.

Is there security at the campground?

Yes, a professional security guard is present during busy vacation periods.

What is the ratio of seasonal guests to tourists?

Camping Wedderbergen rents out fully tourist camping fields and chalets, as well as 40 permanent pitches spread across the site. From 2026, we will also be renting out seasonal pitches, but these will be separate from the tourist camping fields. 

Fully tourist fields: Spechthorst, Eibernest, Ganzeplakke, Eendenkorf

Mainly tourist fields with a few permanent pitches: Visarend, IJsvogel

Fields with a mix of permanent and seasonal pitches: Buizerd, Ekster, Groenling, Reiger

Fields with permanent pitches: Koolmees and Patrijs

Fields under development: Kievit, Lijster

Is it allowed to barbecue in the campground?

Yes this is permitted provided the necessary safety precautions are observed in the process. Open fire is prohibited at all times.

I am looking for temporary accommodation for my staff, can I come to you?

No, Camping Wedderbergen is entirely and exclusively tourist in nature. Upon request, we can refer you to colleagues who do offer long-term rentals for employees.

I am interested in a permanent place as an investment; is subletting allowed?

No, subletting is not allowed under any circumstances; neither is caravan sharing. If you book a permanent pitch, you book it for yourself. We like to keep an overview of our park and want to know at all times who is staying at our park.
