At Camping Wedderbergen, we continue to innovate to make everyone's holiday even more enjoyable. That is why we are investing in the smart ICY system – the solution for more efficient power and energy management on our camping fields and in the chalets.

As a guest, you benefit from a number of smart advantages:

Choose your own electricity (NEW)
From 2026, guests will be able to reserve their desired amperage themselves. The basic setting is 8 amps, but for an additional charge, this can be increased to 10, 12, 14 or 16 amps. Super convenient and flexible!

Insight per pitch
Are you using too much electricity as a camper? Then the electricity will be switched off for one minute to make you aware of your excessive consumption. After this minute, the system will automatically switch the electricity back on. Is your electricity consumption systematically and/or repeatedly too high? Then you can switch to a higher amperage at an additional cost. This ensures a safe and sustainable camping environment.

Preventing major power failures
ICY provides complete insight into power consumption at the park. Is the network under pressure and/or are there signs of problems developing in the main distribution boards? If so, the smart ICY system switches all fields back to a standard amperage that is considered safe at that moment. This ensures that the networks continue to function properly and prevents problems in the infrastructure, all in accordance with the general terms and conditions.

Energy savings in the chalets
ICY thermostats automatically switch back in the event of absence or inactivity. This saves energy and reduces heating costs. Great for you and good for the environment!

Smart temperature control
Smart sensors automatically adjust the temperature. You don't have to set anything yourself in the chalet – the system does the work for you.

Remote management
Our technical department can easily manage the power consumption per pitch or chalet via a handy app. Efficient and fast!

Energy only when needed
The system automatically switches the power on or off for each camping pitch based on occupancy. This prevents waste and misuse, and keeps everything under control.

Smartly linked
ICY is linked to our booking system and barrier system, among other things. This ensures a smooth experience from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.
